Shizukana Sea
Overview
This tranquil sea lies between the continents of Quassus and Deshret, and it was once dominated by the powerful Onami Thalassocracy between the years of 887AGC - 1182AGC.Weather
Even though it is known as a tranquil sea, it still sees some violent storms through the year- moreso than the calmer Occulus Sea and less-so than the wilder oceans. Additionally, monsoons are a familiar phenomena during the summer months of the year. The locals of the region make use of magic shields in order to keep their cities protected and dry, although the Schutz Crystals required to maintain these shields need to be replaced more often than in most areas.Geography
To the east lies the Hiyokuna Archipelago and to the west lies the much smaller Sukoshi Archipelago. Most of the islands in both of these geographical areas are rich in resources as well as being beautiful to behold.
Underneath the waves lies several corrals and several trenches. The Everath have created an expansive and diverse society across this underwater region. They have both helped and hindered sailors traveling the sea.
Fauna & Flora
While some of the local flora and fauna is listed on the right side of this article, there are hundreds more present on the islands and coasts of the Shizukana Sea. It is one of the most diverse geographic areas in Awldor. It is another area that seems to demonstrate the resiliency of many forms of life in the face of a catastrophe like the The Great Collapse.
