Althea's Temple of Healing

Overview

A building in the Silver City of Luna where many go to heal not their bodies but their mind and spirit. Althea is believed to have a personal hand in this healing via the temple's healing pools.
The Lunarians believe that striving for a healthy mind and spirit are important aspects of one's growth- an important trial of life that cannot be ignored. Thus, this temple is one of the most important structures in the Silver City.

Temple Healing Pools

While various methods of healing one's mind and spirit are practiced at Althea's temple, it is the healing pools that give this temple its reputation. Those who have been to these pools say that the pools helped them achieve the greatest focus, and controlled state of mind of their lives. The effect is so strong that several prophecies were born at this temple.
Early in the Queendom of Lunaria's history the pools were open to all. In recent times, the temple has restricted use of the pools only for those who have exhausted other options. Although, large donations to the temple can earn one permission to use the pools as well.
Many attempts have been made to replicate the healing properties of this pool, but not have been as successful. The failure to replicate the temple's healing pools is the most cited evidence of the building's divine purpose, and of the presence of the goddess Althea herself.

Goddess Althea

The Goddess of Health is held in high regard by the Lunarians, and this temple was constructed in her honor. It is believed that the pools are a gift from Althea to heal those most in need.
