Death Raver Species in Avendora | World Anvil

Death Raver (Raving Death)

Basic Information

Anatomy

Their bodies a mass of black mechanized cables and servos, Death Ravers were named such by locals for the noise they make when in motion, the whining, screeching, and hissing of their components almost resembling the insane screams of a crowd of psychiatric patients. Their robotic glowing blue eyes located on in either side of their beak-like heads can see in total darkness, facilitating the hunting style of these creatures, only emerging and night to stalk the wastes of Tælib and tear and unfortunate souls they come across to pieces. Their jaws can open to almost a 90 degree angle, their rows upon rows of razor blade-like teeth ready to turn any living thing that enters their maw the mince meat.

Genetics and Reproduction

Somehwere underground on their home planet there is presumed to be one single factory producing these horrible creatures (it is speculated that there is only one due to not very many of these monsters existing). While local forces continue to search for this production facility, so far such efforts have been in vain.

Ecology and Habitats

The monsters favor rocky crevices and cliffs as well as deep underground caves for their homes, hiding during the day and emerging at night when it is much harder to spot them coming.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Presumably designed by Kadar scientists for war, Death Ravers do not actually have any need for biological food, making their systematic hunting and killing of other living things all the more disturbing. Interestingly, they have also been observed consuming other robotic creatures, presumably for the same reason they attack smaller settlements as well as vehicles; to gather more components to further the creation of more of their kind.
