Autonomous Nano Intelligence Drone
ANIDs are used by the Saurian Internal Inquiry Organization for many different purposes ranging from the most common use, extremely covert surveillance, to mysterious assassination via poison capsules or micro razor lacerations. They are controlled by AI through an uplink with The Ether, but can also be controlled directly by an individual by overriding the automatic command controls.
Power Generation
ANIDs are powered by a combination of solar panels and nano-batteries that are compact enough to fit inside their minuscule bodies. Due to their nearly infatesimle size, it requires a very minuscule amount of energy to power them, and an ANID can run for several days on one battery charge. I'm outside or more lit environments a larger solar panel may be used in place of a battery, and vice versa if the ANID is needed to be indoors or dark places for extended periods of time. ANIDs can be wirelessly charged via a compatable energy transfer device.
Propulsion
These drones' circular encircling "wings" are lined with BoPET that acts as a sort of micro version of Solar Sails, propelling the tiny devices through the air. Photoplymer covering the entirety of the wing surface can change from clear to opaque black to stop it from moving when/where it does not want to.
Weapons & Armament
Some ANIDs are armed with hyper-lethal poision capsules that they can deposit either directly into an assassination target's body or into their drink or something else they are going to consume. More rare, there are even some versions with afixid monomolecular razor blades that are capable of actually flying into the various orafaces of an individual and slicing up vital organs over a period of time, typically in swarms to cause damage more quickly and effectively.
Sensors
A micro camera and microphone are installed in every surveillance type ANID, allowing conversations as well is video to be transmitted instantly to a remote location via an uplink through The Ether.
Additional & auxiliary systems
ANIDs all have an installed tracking device that allows them to be found and retrieved wherever they are if damaged to not allow the technology to fall into the wrong hands on the off chance they could reverse engineer the nano machines.
