Description

When you approach Wahah Tisit you can see it from far away. Not because of its size, but because it is build out of white stone and gleams in the bright desert sun, as if it was glowing. Many of its buildings have colourful glass domes, giving it an added gem-like sparkle.
Wahah Tisit is build against the south side of one of the mesas of Unkaret Rise. It is build in three concentric half circles with one of its districts - the Terrace - build on a step and is rising over the others. Outer Tisit lays beyond the high white city walls and is sprawling further and further into the desert. Both the Terrace and Lower Tisit are predominently build in white, while Outer Tisit is build in the same mud brick house style as most settlements in the Gihuela Desert are.
The city is bisected by the Palace Walk, a wide street leading up directly towards the Crystal Palace. While there used to be controlled passages between the districts crossing the road, they have been closed up in the last decades, leading to people having to cross through Outer Tisit to go from one side to the other.

The Glass Oasis

by Simurgh
A pricey high-end bathhouse. A two story building, covered in glass domes. If one walks past it, there is always the faint smell of roses in the air.
The bathhouse is build in the four traditional sections:
  1. The entrance hall. This is where one is welcomed into the bath and may leave ones valuables. The Glass Oasis entrance hall is decorated with elaborate mosaics.
  2. The cloak room. Here one gets ready for either entering the bath or returning to the outside. You undress or dress, you get towels or dry off, or just simply wait. There are platforms covered with carpets where one can sit, socialize, smoke a narghile, a water pipe, or drink some tea. The air tends to be cool and dry here.
  3. The connecting hall. It is a build in a winding way and takes a small bit of time, so that guests can get used to the warmer or cooler air, depending on which way they are headed. This build keeps the warm air and steam inside the bath.
  4. The washing room. Heated by underfloor tunnels that distribute hot air into the room, coming from a furnace. There are a few warm and hot water baths around the room, some of them seperated by screens.
  5. The room is very hot and steamy, but there is a central pool of cool water, as well as some smaller basins around the room. There is a distinct smell of fragrant oils in the air.

There's a slightly sharp, acidic smell hits you when you enter, and you can hear bubbling sounds.
Despite the building being quite large, the shop space itself seems to be rather small. There are some relatively sparse shelves with goods around the shop floor, with a long wooden counter encompassing the whole backside of the space visible to customers. Outer Tisit

The Rat's Dagger

From the outside, nothing but a wooden sign depicting a nasty looking dagger give any hint that this is anything but one of the other small houses and shacks around it. There's a slight lean to the building, as if the ground had given way over time. The windows are almost blind and there are cracks in the mud-walls that have been patched over multiple times.
At first glance the inside fits the outside. Old mismatched tables, markings of knifes and spilled liquids, broken and patched chairs and walls dark from smoke. If anyone cares to look closer though, they might see that the place is well cared for and - relatively - clean.
  • Rat. Female human. Small, scrappy. Has a chip on her shoulder. Part of an underground movement against the emporer.
  • Farrah Aghriban. Female human. Tall, good posture. Hangs around the Dagger despite being able to afford better. Is technically an outlaw, but no one seems to remember that. Part of an underground movement against the emporer.

Shirin's School

  • Shirin Hajar. female human. Colourful headwrapping. Wants to be redeemed. Has killed someone

Favarel place

There are no signs or markings showing that this is anything but a private residence - it doesn't even have an actual name. But citizens of Wahah Tisit know that this is by far and wide the place that sells the most delicious Favarel - right out of the kitchen window. Even people from the inner districts brave the occasional trip into the depth of Outer Tisit to taste them.
The only things that are being sold here are Favarel (a deep fried chickpea ball, wrapped in flatbread with salad, pickled vegetables and sesame sauce) and Mahaki (rolled flatbread with grilled vegetables, salad, lemon, herbs & sesame sauce).

Politics

Due to the high status the Academy holds in Wahah Tisit there sometimes seems to be an almost dual nature of leadership between the mayor of the city and the headmaster of the academy. History

Founded in 29 TA by the Scarlet Ashes, Wahah Tisit used to be of the same anti-arcane mindset as its sister cities Wahah Bursaid and Wahah Gebal, though to a lesser degree than the former was. The family of Khasopor were some of the cities most stalward defenders.
Only a short few years after, in 63 TA the reign of the Scarlet Ashes is ursurped by the Voiceless in bloody battle.
