Session 31: The ups and glows of magic water
General Summary
- Yuki picks another peach so they have 10
- group heads out of the secondary cave, hearing some quiet knocking coming from downstairs
- Dufes throws Yuki over the water, no problem
- peaches get over to the other side via rope construction
- Essa tries to jump over, but forgot her strenght was sapped and lands square in the water. Dufes pulled her back via his ability
- the center of gravity has shifted, so the ceiling is now the ground for her and she's held like a balloon by Dufes dredge line
- Dufes tries to throw Tari, but critically fails and just depositis her in the water
- Tari gets pristinely cleaned up
- Dufes gets to the other side no problem
- outside the effects fade
- party finds a place to rest for the night
- Tari & Dufes take first watch, nothing out of the ordinary happens
- Yuki & Essa take second watch
- Essa investigates the peaches
- something in the forest seems to be watching the peaches but then just disappears
- group debates baking sth with the peaches once they're out of the woods
- group meets a trading caravan in a village, hitches a ride with them towards portcall
- there are not many fishing vessels out at sea
- party reaches Portcall again
- they visit Magnificent Mama Myrtle Mudcradle again
- at first the tower seems empty, group heads into her living space, Essa checks out her books
- Yuki checks out the kitchen, where they hear bubbling
- massive black couldron over the fire - filled with deliciously smelling rice tomatoe soup
- then Mama Mudcradle creeps out of the oven - wanted some heat for her hurting joints
- Essa asks her, what the peaches actually do: taste delicious, bolster your fortitude so you're not as easily frightended, makes you see some things that you don't usually see
- they talk about how the creatures are others than usually are in the cave
- then they eat bisquits (Vanillekipferl)
- hand her the peaches
- group eats some of the tomatoe soup with fresh white bread
- Yuki asks how Mama Mudcradle uses them -> pie, cobbler, peach cheese, anything you can do with fruit you can do with these. but the less you use, the lesser the effect
- if you drop them they taste bad, and the effect might be reversed
- gives them a scroll of water breathing as well as a very fine looking leather bag with gems stitched on (bag of holding/nagging?)
- there's a place where ships tend to sink, and the waters are dark there. Something's in the water
- MM tells them to look Elenwin, as she's probably the most likely to take them there, as most are too superstitious
- look for her boat the 'Spitfire', which should be docked in the Old Harbour
- Yuki and Mama Mudcradle plan to cook together and to find interesting recipes for each other
- party gets a room at the Drunken Squid
- Essa, Tari & Yuki sit down at the bar and awkwardly flirt with the barkeeper
- group plans for Yuki to use up all the peaches before heading out and them going bad
