Session 29: I want it, I got it... not... WHAT HAPPENED?!? Report
General Summary
- during watch, mostly just critters she hears, but sometimes there's a sound that's just slightly off, though nothing ever comes close to the camp, though nothing during the last watch when the sun is coming up
- Yuki bakes bread in the night :D
- in the morning (5th day) group at first doesn't know from where they came, since the trees around them up and moving has changed the landscape somewhat
- group eats bread on a stick
- Essa figures out where they came from and where to head
- path loses itself in the underbrush after a while
- the forest seems strange, something being slightly off
- reach the edge of the forest, bridge over a ravine
- strange hut with sth odd moving around: humanoid figure with feathers, a beak, proportions off
- Yuki goes to talk to the bird-man
- not really a bird man, dressed up like one (badly, from a close view) to avoid animals from the forest attacking him. his friends said it'd be a stupid idea. he's only been there a few days, hasn't been on the other side
- Yuki starts to cross the bridge first, with Essa following at a distance
- Essa notices some weird birds, or humanoids with wings flying in from the distance
- a mesmerizing song hits the group, all but Essa fall under its spell
- Harpies attack the group. Yuki almost dies after trying to climb out of the ravine and hitting the rocks below
- Dufes catches the harpy matriarch in a net from Galan, then basically drowns her by jumping onto her in the water
- the last harpy escapes not knowing what's happened to the rest of her flock
- Dufes carries Yuki out
- Tari gets Yuki back to health
- group finds a place to rest in the forest
