Session 28: "Camp in the woods they said, it'll be fun, they said" Report
General Summary

- group heads off along the Delriden Road, nothing particular happens on the first day, well travelled road, so easy enough to camp
- second day passes without much trouble
- third day, weather is misty and clammy
- Yuki, not liking being damp, decides to use his fire powers to steam it off
- trying to heat up his body temp, fingertips have flame on them, but in concentrating so hard, lets a fart off - and burns his ass with it
- on this day's journey they pass a hamlet
- in the evening, just before nightfall they can see something on the sea, but they can't quite make out what it is (Essa assumes it's the storm surges)
- fourth day, they see the Storm Surges
- more trees and groves and forests start to appear
- in the early afternoon, they start hearing a repetetive sound, coming from a grove
- Essa goes to investigate it, not walking carefully. Yuki and Dufes follow just as uncareful. Tari heads in quietly
- see an unmoving figure through the branches
- its a body that is attached to a tree with arrows in the shoulder - and a mass of arrows aimed center mass
- body is half-elven, dark brown hair, wearing regular travelling clothing
- Essa heads back after seeing its a corpse
- thinking back, the corpses clothing style doesn't look completely unfamiliar to her - its from Ushein, but about two provinces over, probably part of the court, though not sb noble themselves
- arrows did not kill the person, all happened afterwards (no blood around the arrows, though dried blood at their side)
- Dufes investigates where the arrows came from, finds the place that's trampled down where they shot from
- finds footsteps branching away from there, finds arrows that were used previously to shoot the corpse and then pulled out to reuse
- finds fabric ripped off stuck to a branch, dark red colour, fine stitching on it, though too small a piece to recognize anything
- Essa & the group decide to continue on their way to get the peaches instead of following the tracks, and investigate them further on their way back after getting the peaches
- at the T-Cross of the road there's a small village with shops
- path goes into the forest, its pretty small
- group decides to find a spot in the Forest of Vae to make camp
- find a place that is okay, though not top notch
- Yuki asks Essa where in Ushein she's from, as he's travelled there before -> from a little ways out in the countryside of Triham, one of Ushein's bigger cities, also with a lot of history. Yuki was in Altissa though
- Yuki misses his parents and his village. Hasn't been back in five to seven years
- Tari's son lives in a boarding school. She hasn't been back in a year. She left to take jobs, get money to afford his education
- Dufes is from 'back there'. He woke up in the desert in the sand. 10 days ago. (5 days before group met) Doesn't remember anything before that, just sand
- Essa takes first watch. She does not see much, is distracted by everything she learned or revealed today.
- the trees are moving! And attacking!
- Yuki builds a ring of fire. If they light the forest on fire, that's a problem for tomorrow.
- group goes to sleep
