Crown of Dominion

The Crown is one of the only functional Avarian relics to ever be uncovered. Its use and purpose are little understood and what information has been gleaned is kept a closely guarded secret.
It is currently worn by Emperor Darius Vakarian and allows him limited control over the technology of the Avarian Citadel that the imperial palace was constructed around.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

To the people of the Empire, the Crown of Dominion is a magical contract of ancient design, though all attempts at identification and magical detection have failed. Those few who know its functions believe it to be enchanted with divination magic far beyond the understanding of the current age.
In truth, the crown is a technological marvel of the long-dead Avarian people. It operated by sending near-instant bursts of neural-generated code to the many active stations within the citadel. Allowing the wearer to see through the optics of any of the active drones and also to manually control the citadel's defences such as the massive hard light barrier or pulse cannons.

Significance

The Crown is the Symbol of Imperial Authority and its abilities are seen as magical. Even outside The Valgardian Empire the crown would be a prize-worthy of King or Lord.

Rarity

Unique - Though several of these Crowns have been recovered in the Crypts and underground installations of the Avarians. This is the only functional one.
