Believing that Clan Veruza must have leadership that is not bound to evils of its past, the 5 founding members of Clan Veruza agree to step down and allow their family members to ascend to leadership.

After nearly 2 centuries of loyal service, the 5 founding members of Clan Veruza believe that their work has been completed and they have earned their rest. Seeing the future of the clan in those who were born into it and aren't tied to its bloody history of violence and betrayal, the founding head of each house announces their successor in a collective ceremony attended by the whole of Clan Veruza on the grounds of Veruza Keep.
