The already fractured houses of Clan Veruza lose unity at last and two of its ruling houses, House Rallid and House Belo, break from the Clan and march with their armies against Circe directly, dooming the Clan itself for centuries.

Over 500 members of Clan Veruza, including the heads of House Rallid and House Belo, are killed outright in a show of force by Circe as they arrive at the foot of her castle.

Infuriated by the installation of another queen, and believing they had earned the right to rule following Hekate's death after centuries of loyalty and service, the heads of House Belo and House Rallid swore death before more centuries of service and marched on Circe's castle to depose her before she could take control fully. The remaining house leaders, terrified of divine retribution, sent their fastest agents north ahead of the marching army, one to Circe's court and one to House Silverburg. To Circe they warned her of the impending betrayal and begged mercy. To House Silverburg they pleaded forgiveness and to advise Circe in temperance as they had her mother. When the rebelling army reached Circe's castle gates in Lykofos, they found Circe's royal guards, the other agents of Clan Veruza, the head of House Silverberg, and Circe herself. With a single divine word, the rebelling army was put down; some surviving and shamed, but 520 loyal soldiers of Clan Veruza died that day, including the heads of House Rallid and House Belo. In equal parts compassion and punishment, Circe had agreed to not outright end Clan Veruza for this rebellion, but instead chose to strip them of all land and title in her new Queendom. They were driven back to The Red Pines and given only Morgarta as a ward to watch over, until such time that they could demonstrate their loyalty to her and her people over themselves.
