Guild Master
The Guild Masters are an elite group of Eladrin ranked guild members who have shown exemplary work in their fields. There are four guild masters that each control their respective guild and act as the link between the perennial guilds and the royal families. Different guild masters are in charge of different things within the Sun Court and have the most authority over the their respective domains within their guilds.
The four guild masters are the only guild members who are given a permanent seat on the Counsel of Falias. The guild masters are almost exclusively decided as a part of a meritocracy to ensure that they deserve their seat on the counsel. The four currently appointed members of the perennial guilds that have achieved this rank include Dezba Kestral of the Summer Guild, Bluford Hanbury of the Autumn Guild, Akshe Karthra of the Winter Guild, and Onyx of the Spring Guild. These four in conjunction with the Nilbog, Alaric Solstice, and Colette Equinox form the Counsel of Falias.
Qualifications
A promotion can be given out to someone with qualifications for the job but each guild master has a different set of requirements. Most involve the future guild master to be in the guild for a certain amount of time and a recommendation from one other guild leader before they are presented before the Counsel of Falias
Requirements
The Sun Court has very few restrictions on who can be a guild master with one guild master not even being a from Ireland. A guild master must have a clean record though and cannot have any recorded offenses. They are also unable to attain this rank while being known to be moon touched.
Appointment
For someone to be promoted they must go through a series of background checks such as zones of truth and a thorough history check. After the nominee has been deemed eligible, they must attend a ceremony in which they are promoted and are given a magical stone that simulates the Eladrin's fey step abilities.
Duties
A guild master is a politic figure as well as a guild member and must maintain face and manage people of their guild and of the sun court. All guild masters are also required to be on the Counsel of Falias and uphold their duties from that as well.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the guild masters vary between each guild and are indicative of the guild that the representative works for.
Benefits
Major political benifits can be reaped from being a guild master that give guild masters the most governmental control of the Sun Court of all guild members. They have the same political power as the King and Queen of the court.
Accoutrements & Equipment
All Guild masters are given a magical stone that simulates the fey step of the ancient Eladrin upon initiation and are given a plaque and ornamental badge to signify their rank.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
For a guild master to be removed from the Counsel of Falias, one of two conditions must be met: either a new guild member must be given the position and all procedures must be followed to initiate them as a vote is carried by the counsel to determine the next guild master, or the guild master being let go has commited a crime and is removed from the counsel by vote before a new guild master is determined. The magical stone given to them after their initiation can be kept if they are let go by means of a new hire but is taken back if they were removed because of a crime or offense.
History
The original Guild Masters were the founders of the Perennial Guilds and the makers of the Four Treasures of the Tuatha de Danann during the war between the Eladrin and the Shadar Kai. The rank was maintained after the war though in case of a new threat and was given political power after the merging with the royal family to form the Counsel of Falias.
Cultural Significance
The Guild Masters are universally well respected or at least feared and are seen as very important and powerful individuals.
