Falias
The capital of the Sun Court and one of the Largest cities in the world. Falias is well known for being a haven of magic and knowledge around the world. Home of the School of the Arcane Arts and Sciences as well as the Library of Falias, the capital has become a point of intrigue for scholars around Avalon. The massive city is also a well sought after tourist attraction for its beautiful architecture and magnificent scenery under the canopy.
Falias was the first town built in the Sun Court by the Eladrin and became the home of the Royal Families and the Perennial Guilds of Ireland which has made the city incredibly wealthy and powerful. The Autumn Guild maintains the city's beauty, the Summer Guild provides protection, the Spring Guild keeps the city safe from the inside, and the Winter Guild has given the city the means for expansion that it has.
Demographics
Most of the city is inhabited by elves, firbolgs, dwarves, and humans. Much of the city holds other races but these are the primary inhabitants. The city does not however take kindly to goblinoids or moon touched people.
Government
The Council of Falias is what rules over the entire Sun Court and is divided among the royal family representatives and the Guild Masters. The council is funded through fairly lax taxation laws and guild exports that fund the city and the court itself. These laws are enforced by the Spring Guild and advised by the Autumn Guild.
Defences
The Summer Guild is a collection of highly trained volunteer soldiers who are well respected and guard the city as well as its borders.
Infrastructure
Falias is a wonder to behold with architecture to rival the venetians and technologies that are beyond what most cities could dream of. Alaric Solstice's photosynthetic machines have already started being implemented into the city which has improved quality of life for everyone there. The Perennial Guilds also make sure to keep the city in top shape for its people.
History
Falias was built originally as a base of operations for the Eladrin to plan their attack against the Shadar Kai. This base slowly grew as the Perennial Guilds and the Royal Families teamed up. Built atop the Hill of Tara where the largest tree in Ireland grew, the Tree made way for the city to be built and died to aid the Eladrin in gathering resources to expand.
Architecture
The entire city of Falias is well known for it's Gothic/Renaissance architecture with beautiful stained glass murals in many buildings and stunning use of structure to let more light into buildings than was though possible originally
Geography
The royal palace sits top the central Hill of Tara while the rest of the city expands from that point within a massive canopy.
