Tvurgir is the god of harvest, pastoralism, agriculture, travel, and journeys in the
Coristhian Faith. He is the husband of
Meida and the father of
Andiya.
Depiction and Epithets
Tvurgir, in his agricultural epithet of Bjǫðtvurgir (meaning "Tvurgir of the field"), appears as a man holding a shepherd's staff in one hand and a sickle in the other. For his travel epithet of Leiðtvurgir (meaning "Tvurgir of the road"), he wears a mantled cloak with a hood and walking stick.
