Atanya
Atanya is a semi-arid region situated south of the Canyons of Qahir in Al'Taj. Characterized by dark red sands, an abundance of cacti, and a diverse population, the region is home to the thriving Citystate of Aecho in the north, known for its mining and gemstone exports. Roaming giantfolk with formidable martial skills inhabit the southern reaches.
Geography
The landscape of Atanya features dark red sands, extensive cacti, and valuable mineral deposits. Aecho, positioned on a mountain within the canyon, benefits from highland aquifers and precious gemstones. Salt flats and hills to the south are inhabited by roaming bands of desert giants. In the northwest corner lies Dei Tark, a once haunted ghost town that has recently become a vibrant colony that grows every day.
Localized Phenomena
Cautionary tales warn of violent metal creatures patrolling the east coast of Atanya, leaving no survivors. These rumors add an air of mystery and danger to the region. The Land of Salt and Spines, as it's known, is both famous and feared for its distinctive phenomena.
