The owner, a retired sailor named Old Beren, is as much a fixture as the tavern itself, known for his endless tales of the sea and Verdant’s eerie legends. 

The waitress at The Salted Anchor is named Mira Lowtide. Mira is a tough, no-nonsense woman in her thirties with sun-kissed skin and wind-tangled auburn hair. Known for her quick wit and sharp humor, she navigates the tavern with the ease of someone who’s used to dodging both rowdy patrons and their unwanted advances. Mira grew up in Gudhorkan and knows nearly every secret of Verdant, but she’s especially good at deflecting questions about herself. Despite her rough exterior, she occasionally offers the party snippets of island lore and warnings, especially if they earn her respect or curiosity.
