Luna Azure
Luna Azure, an Astral Elf, was born in Perah City on Aurelia more than two centuries ago. Her parents, like many of their kind, decided to have her born in the Material Plane, so she could spend her first twenty years understanding her origins before joining them in the Silver Void—a mysterious realm within the Astral Plane where her family resides. Astral Elves don’t develop their distinct, starry eyes until they reach the Astral realms.
Her parents believed it essential for Luna to experience the Material Plane, as most Astral Elves rarely return, considering the realm beneath them and preferring to avoid unnecessary aging. During her time on Earth, Luna immersed herself in learning about other Elven and diverse species, absorbing everything she could about the Material Plane—knowledge her parents deemed critical to appreciating their heritage.
Her family’s connection to the Astral Plane goes back generations to an ancestor who aided the dragon Asgorath. In gratitude, Asgorath brought Luna’s ancestor to the Astral Plane and gifted the family with sorcerous powers, making them renowned for raising and nurturing Golden Sun Dragons.
After two decades, Luna joined her family in the Silver Void, embracing her ancestral duty. Yet, unlike other Astral Elves, Luna felt an occasional longing for the Material Plane, returning every fifty years or so, mostly to savor its food and play music with talented mortals.
Recently, the Astral Elves became alarmed as the fabric of the planes showed signs of weakening. In response, they dispatched emissaries to investigate various planes and dimensions. Given her familiarity with the Material Plane, Luna was chosen to return to Aurelia to investigate. However, due to the portal’s inaccuracy, she found herself on a small, remote island in Verdant, within the Solaris Republic, rather than her birth city of Perah City...
