Continent of Valendor
Valendor — The Fractured West of Aurelia
Valendor is a continent of sharp contrasts and ancient tensions — a land scarred by wars, exiles, and old allegiances, where every nation clings to its identity as the world around it shifts.
Algat – The Last Bastion of Human Order
In the southeast, the Human nation of Algat stands proud — and isolated. Its gleaming capital, Perah, sits like a stone fortress against the tide of change. Here, magic is feared and tightly controlled, its use a criminal act unless sanctioned by the state. Algat’s people cling to tradition, proud of their order and unity, but their distrust of magic and outsiders leaves them increasingly cut off from the world’s evolution.
The Southern Mountains – Home of the Dwarves
In the craggy, mineral-rich ranges of southern Valendor, the dwarves endure. Their ancient holds run deep, and their forges burn day and night. Proud and pragmatic, these dwarves warily eye the lands above — especially the Doomfist Horde to the north — but few can match their discipline or craftsmanship.
The Doomfist Horde – Monstrous Unity
To the central pains sprawls the Doomfist Horde, a brutal confederation of orcs, ogres, goblins, and worse. Born from centuries of conflict and fueled by a hunger for land and power, the horde is an ever-present threat to the rest of Valendor. Along the eastern edge of their territory, hugging the Deluca Ocean, a minotaur enclave holds fast — proud warriors who respect strength above all and have carved out their own place amidst chaos.
Valorian – The Final Elven Kingdom
In the far north lies Valorian, the last great kingdom of the elves in all of Aurelia. Towering trees and shimmering cities remain hidden beneath enchanted canopies. Though diminished in number, the elves of Valorian are wise, ancient, and fiercely protective of their traditions. They remember a time before the world cracked, and some say they guard secrets meant to stay buried.
The Oligrav Consortium – Trade, Gold, and Grit
On the western plains, the Oligrav Consortium thrives — a loose collection of city-states and merchant guilds held together by profit and shared survival. Its people are a colorful mix, but halflings and dwarves dominate both the docks and the counting houses. Wealth flows in, secrets flow out, and everyone has a price. Oligrav is where mercenaries, smugglers, and silver-tongued agents make their mark.
The Drur – A Refuge for the Outcast
Nestled in quiet, misty woods along the northeast edge of the continent, the Drur is a haven for those the world has cast aside. Tieflings call it home, along with other exiled and wandering peoples. It is a place of quiet resilience, where nature is respected, and magic is accepted. Though the Drur holds little political power, it remains a vital sanctuary — and a growing spiritual heart of resistance against oppression.
