This disease is caused by a bacteria which lives in mud, grime and thrives in general filthy conditions.

Causes

The bacterium enters the body through open wounds or by ingesting contaminated solids or liquids. Once the bacterium takes hold it spreads rapidly throughout the digestive tract and blood stream.

Symptoms

Bloody and/or watery stool, dehydration, sweating, weakness of the body and inability to focus.

Treatment

Tea made from Arrow root must be taken several times a day with sufficient rest until the disease passes.

Prognosis

Onset of symptoms is within a day or two, taking a couple of weeks to recover on average with treatment.
If not treated the disease may go away after 4 weeks in about 40% of individuals, 60% of individuals get weaker with each passing day and suffer from cardiac arrest before their body manages to fight it off.

Prevention

The best method of prevention is to keep clear of infected areas and to properly clean or boil any food or water you suspect may be infected.
