Skeleoz

"Halt and look, perfectly white bones over there."
"And what, it's just bones."
"Precisely, how often do you see bones just lying on the ground? I don't know how you, but I always saw only bones that were in process of being eaten."
"Wait, that's right, Atocitera is not wasteful."
"Proceed with caution, it can be something new."

Dialogue of Raiders on their mission

Description

Fluidic Skelets, in short Skelets or how Raiders jokingly call them Skeleoz, are monsters that evolved from the Wobbling Flesh by using the collagen and calcium from bones to reestablish themselves.
This ooze-like organism can take many forms. Due to this, the Skeleoz are either unique, or they follow some best shape based on the biome in which they hunt.
The differences between the similar ones are often in small details, like the number of rib-like bones used for protection or the length of appendages.
Thanks to the majority of the Skeleoz being ooze-like, it achieves motion via changing its shape.   Skeleoz is able to store Fluid Flow in its bones. And then use it to strike its foe. The foe struck this way often turns into Wobbling Flesh for Skeleoz to consume. After the Skeleoz consumes all the collagen and calcium from its victim, the resulting Wobbling flesh tends to turn into something else.

Diet

As the Skeleoz is made out of collagen and calcium, it is after the bones of its prey.
To get them, the Skeleoz hardens its appendages into piercing weapons. With these piercing weapons, it gets through flesh directly to the bones where it releases a high quantity of Fluid.
This sudden burst is easily Fatal, as the Fluid turns the victim into Wobbling Flesh for Skeleoz to consume.   Some specimens reached high levels of precision with their Flow, and are thus able to liquefy just the victim's bones. The liquefied bones are then sucked out through a hole in the piercing appendages.

Behavior

Fluidic Skelets are ambush predators, they drop in a way to look like a pile of bones, free for scavengers to pick at, and then they attack the unsuspecting scavengers.
Unfortunately for them, they are slow. This means that smaller scavengers simply dodge their attacks.
However, if the biome has large numbers of these smaller scavengers, the Skeleoz evolve a way to shoot small needles that can kill these smaller scavengers. These bone darts are a nuisance for Raiders, who can be limited for the rest of the raid due to accumulated damage from the darts.   When Skeleoz kills its prey by simple piercing or slashing damage, depending on their variety, they simply engulf it and absorb all the bone materials from the carcass.
Fluidic Skelets are also solo hunters and cannibals. They do not shy away from fighting another Fluidic Skelet simply to absorb it and grow bigger.

Spreading

Using the elements in the Wobbling flesh, the Skelets emerge as an ooze-like organism.
After establishing itself, it then hardens certain parts of itself into bone-like structures both to attack its prey and to protect itself.
Even though it is able to create Wobbling Flesh out of its prey, it always absorbs all elements that could be used to spawn another Fluidic Skelet.   Due to this, the only way for Skeleoz to spread is to grow large, and then separate into multiple different ones. These offspring then successfully work together with their parent for about one day, before they develop their own individuality. At that moment, they either separate in relative peace or fight to the death with their family until only one Fluidic Skelet remains.

Relationship to others

Fluidic Skelets do not have a straight lineage through which they could inherit instincts or memories of previous Skelets. Due to this, they often go against anything that moves in hopes it has bones in it.
Many species on Atocitera are a then fair match for them, with that many other species outclassing them either through size and weight difference or through the different buildup of their bodies.
Any time Skeleoz picks up a fight with something that has stone-based armors, or is literally made out of stone, the Skeleoz is quickly destroyed.

Relationship to Raiders

Raiders are intelligent enough to spot the suspiciously white bones and odd placement of the Skeleoz in ambush.
They sometimes even possess the means to get rid of it from afar, not risking contact with dangerous Fluid attacks.   Unfortunately for both Fluidic Skelets and Raiders, the Skelets often pick up a fight with Raiders even if the Raiders decide to leave them behind.
Raiders who leave behind Skeleoz in ambush need to constantly check their back to see if they are not followed.

Dangers, Risks, Strategy, and loot

Slow piercing or slashing appendages pose a relatively low danger against average Raiders.
The main danger comes from Fluid attacks, which can be life-threatening.   The best approach is from afar with long-range attacks focused on the points where appendages connect to the main body. Once these are severed, there is an opening to charge in and destroy the ooze-like body before it reconnects to its lost arms and/or legs. Unfortunately for Raiders, the Fluidic Skelets have no loot other than Fluid chasing bones. But these are very often destroyed in the process of dispatching the Skelet itself.

Discovery

"Of course, it moved, Everything on this cursed land is up to kill us one way or another."
"At least it posed little threat."
"LITTLE THREAT? Tell that to this wobbly oozer. He did not dodge the initial attack and now we have to burn him."
"Compared to the other shit that is all around, this was one of the easier to handle."

Dialogue of Raiders on their mission after destroying the first Fluidic Skelet
The first encounter with Fluidic Skelet happened at the edge of a forest.
Raiders spotted suspicious bones and approached them slowly. After coming closer, the ooze could be seen behind the bones. One of the Raiders in the group decided to probe the ooze in the pile of bones with his sword.
As an answer, he received a piercing attack directly to his thorax. A wound that he could survive if the attack did not blast him with the Fluid Flow that liquefied him and changed him to Wobbling flesh on spot.
