The Bronze Brotherhood

Many a song has been written about the brave companions of the Bronze Brotherhood. Those who stand up for the weak and take the fight to those who would seek to steal from the poor and suppress those who have no way of defending themselves. This group of outlaws roams the fields and forests from the northernmost regions of the Lavish to the southernmost regions of the Range, fighting the rich to better the poor.   Lead by the Bronze lord, the Bronze Bear, lord Phyllip Osren previously of the Yellow Tooth. He leads his men into battle against his enemies atop his large dire bear with yellowed fur. He inspires both loyalty and pride in his men as they fight for the good of all men and women of the realm.
Oh the bronze lord he did swing
His claws just at his foe
Atop his yellow bear he'll sing
And bring those of high down below
The yellowed lord atop his bear
Would bring his enemies more than hair
He'll bring his spoils to man and wife
And bring them all a better life
For those up high are mad with lust
For greed will take them all
But men of bronze will show them just
And cause their sins to fall
  The Men of Bronze
These are all stories told by the smallfolk. The reality, however, is, like most times, less noble. The bronze brotherhood is a group of criminals who rob and plunder the richer baronies of the northern kingdoms and then spend most of their spoils in a single town on both supplies and entertainment. These small towns see a group of men who bring them lots of gold and see them as heroes come to save them from poverty.
Though one might rather believe the songs, the leader of this company, Phyllip Osren is not as brave and honourable as they might suggest. The last heir to Yellow Tooth's castle and surrounding lands was disinherited and sent away from the region by his lord father, Pharys Osren, for squandering all their money on drink and women. He took the yellow bear standing on its hind paws that hung on the Osren banners and turned it into his own personal sigil, with the bear standing on all fours. This banner was later used for the entire brotherhood.   The first few members of the fellowship were some of Phyllip's friends from the nearest town to the Yellow Tooth, a small village known as Woodmouth. These were lowborn men who Phyllip would spend most of his nights with drinking his gold away. After a few successful minor raids on southron farms and towns, the brotherhood used their wealth to hire more men and create a name for themselves up north.   After time, more and more notable names joined the brotherhood seeking glory and riches. The band now consists of around 45 men.
