Royal Family of Athiris
The Royal Family of Athiris are a figurehead family after their ancestors ceded the rule of the lands to a parliament over the single rulership. These days, the manarchy act as a symbol of nobility and status within the country. Politically they act as travelling diplomats who can travel to distant lands and maintain relationships.
Although mostly figureheads, the Family do still have some sway in the running of the country due to their international travels and relationships.
Structure
The current rulers have been married for thrity two years now with the current King and Queen reaching their later years while their children are starting to take more responsibility in their duties.
King Darius D'athil
The 53 year old King is known for his competitive nature, often having organised tournaments just to compete in them himself. How getting older, he still enjoys the spectacle of competition.
Queen Maria D'athil
The 56 year old Queen is beloved by the people in Athiris for her artistry through the city. She commissions and hires artists, sculptures and metalworkers to decorate the city and make it an artistic city.
Prince Thandren D'athil
The 28 Year old prince is next in line to the throne and has been travelling to other countries recently to build relationships with other nations.
Princess Maritha D'aria
The 26 Year old Princess has been married to Prince Thandren for the last four years after meeting him on one of his diplomatic visits. She is from an abroad land from nobility herself.
Princess Freya D'athil
The 22 Year old Princess is a known rule breaker in the family, knwon for her exploits as a teenager where she was often caught sneaking out of the family homes to explore the world. Now it seems her family has put their foot down as she is rarely seen outside of noble social events, an implication that the family are keeping her under a close watch.
Prince Larinos D'athil
The 19 Year old Prince is the odd ball of the family, known to be more arrogant and demanding than the rest of his family. The family hope he will grow out of this now in his young adulthood, but the populace has begun viewing him as a typical stuck up noble.
