Session 12: Botanical Gordon

General Summary

Off to A'mashara William Grimhound, Loanedth, Gul'Khaan,  and Nil-enor Ulkas are headed. While William stocks up on booze for the trip, Nil-enor confronts Loanedth to collect the black stone. Loanedth manages to delay Nil-enor, but finds that their plan of splitting the rock that they do have in two fails. They do concede the piece that they did have, and the entrance of Gordon distracts Nil-enor.

Gordon is willing to aid the group, but shutting up shop for that long will take a toll on Lightfoot Engines' finances, and he requires an upfront payment of 400 gold. While they are able to get most of it out of the way, William is forced to use the magical ring, Bort's Blessing as collateral.

After a day's drive, the party makes camp, and Loanedth and Gordon get to talking about hopes and aspirations, while delicious wild Pabbits  are roasted over the fire.

Their sleep is disturbed by a shambling mound of plantlife that creeps out of the tall grass and attacks. Veinseeker shows its power, digging into the flesh of the monster, and the party is triumphant, Gordan finishing it off by ramming the creature with his C-V1 Bulwark. The rest of the night, spent sleeping inside the engine, is peaceful, if a bit humid.
