VCotS Episode 1: Hunting the Polar Bear

If not for that bear-head helmet, either one of them alone could have mortally wounded the beast.

Those aren't normal bear paws.

Characters:

Our protagonist, called Ingrid by the vikings.

Målmann (Target Man,)

Geir  (Lance),

Gisle (Handle of a lance),

Ivar Tremann (Tree),

Magnus (the dwarf).

Dott Mott the cleric of Thor Christ.

(He has a tattoo of a collar of thorns around his neck, which is a Christian symbol on this planet.) Mott is the only one who wears a horned Viking helmet.
Maybe it sounds like a primate, but... a Yeti... those are only mythical.
The Fates are real, but not a Yeti?

This looks like a Yeti, but those are mythical creatures.  This could only exist by supernatural interference.Malmann asks: interference by the Fates of whom you have spoken?   1.4.1/4 Mott: I know ancient legends of the Fates. Three women who weave the threads of Destiny into each man's life when he is born.  One cannot bribe nor argue with the Fates. Once they have woven a thread, They cannot be dissuaded.   1.4.2/4Ingrid: Until now.   1.4.3/4 Then stab in eye. thunk!   1.4.4/4 stab in eye only takes off headpiece. "   1.6.3/4Mott: we will need that divine gift and a few more if we are to stop the giant white bear from entering town and eating our loved ones. (See tattoo of collar of thorns on his neck.)   1.6.4/4Malmann (leading the way) holds up a hand. Many tracks. It's lair is close. (Magnus is sharpening his axe.)   1.7.1/ top view: They circle up. M: this must be our staging ground. Doubtless the monster has many hiding places in the rough ground ahead. Wife of the most patient man in town, you have nagged me into allowing you to lead the war band just this once.Ingrid:Geir, you lead and use your knives to distract the bear and keep its attention, but do not step within its reach.  Gisle, you hold back and be ready to sink your spear into its heart from a safe distance when you see the opportunity to strike.Beware the beast's jaws and claws and arms. It will crush you if it gets a grip on you.  This poltice will give you the courage and speed of mind to defeat it.  The strength, you already have.Yes my lady.  Yes my Lady.   1.7.2/Ingrid: Remove any clothing made of bear fur. It will only enrage the beast to smell its own dead. That means all clothing. Armor of the righteous. I will if you will.   1.7.3/3they start to undress   M: "what? My Pictish princess, this has gone too far."   (Malmann expects Ivar and Magnus to help him take out the polar bear for real after the two servants either die or run back and admit defeat.)   1.8.1/6I: Yet you have not ordered me to stop, husband. Why not?M: I am not that foolish, but I am certain your devoted servants will be reduced to bloody smears in the snow today, only to prove a point.  Neither of us should be so hardheaded.Undressing1.8.2/6Geir, Gisle, Your loyalty to walk into the jaws of certain death is appreciated. Without wives and households of your own, I welcomed you both under my roof as adopted sons and servants to my wife. Today, for your own good, I disown you both from our family and I release you from your oaths to us.  You have no obligation to obey me nor my wife any more. Be free men again and make your own paths.   UndressingGeir: I believe in my lady, Sire.  She cured the limp from my old knee injury.  She told me the story of every scar I wear.  She has great wisdom.   1.8.3/6I: If you must have proof to have faith, then l will risk the lives of these two who believe in me without proof to provide you the proof. Mott: The Christ spoke similar words.   1.8.4/6She mixes woad in her hands.  This woad must soak into your bloodstream steadily as you fight.     1.8.5/5She applies woad mirror image on them, starting forehead, down cheek You are wise, Ingrid.  we shall prove your strategy is wise, and your magic powerful.   1.9.1/3Woad to back of neck.Again I say, do not call it magic.  It is a mixture of androgen amplifiers, moderate general anesthesia, mild hallucinogenic, and acute testosterone boosters.   1.9.2/3Woad to chest.Yes, my lady. Apologies.   1.9.3/Woad to stomach. It will take all your strength even with myProtections.   1.9.4/Woad to balls, and cock.Do not worry. I would rather die than fail you.   1.10.1/6They approach beast's den, following blood trail and tracks.Geir: I feel the woad working on me.  I'm having a great day now. Woo!1.10.2/6Gisle: Yes, I feel the hand of the thunder god on my shoulder, and Odin whispering in my ear.  Odin says I will be victorious, but about those little knives, Odin says you are getting bent over forward and fucked today.   1.10.3/6He is talking about after the battle.  And he must be inviting you to do the fucking.   1.10.4/6. Shocked. I... I...   1.10.5/6I hoped you might be interested in me when Malmann chose you to guard Ingrid.  He picked me because he knew he could trust me not to be tempted by his wife's beauty.  I assumed he picked you for the same reason.   1.10.6/6. Well then I cannot disobey the command of Odin, can I?   1.11.1/Ingrid shouts: "Remember teamwork!"Geir turns around and says quote from page   1.1.11.2/ side view this time of approaching yeti. Geir says "My faith in you shall slay the beast. If I fail you, I deserve to die."   Repeat fight scene from alternate angles.    I: Don't let it separate you!  Your strength is combined! My back!  It never felt better! I too am ready for more. They face the beast together. Closeup.Beast charges.  Gisle charges again.  Not again! Beast breaks off blade of spear leaving sharp wood. Geir runs up Gisle's hip and back and leaps over.  Beast gets ready to catch Geir. Geir lands on it with right hand stabbing into its mouth dislocating jaw and left hand repeatedly stabbing shoulder.   Beast rips Geir's forearm off and it unravels like a hollow orange peel.    Gisle angry.   Gisle stabs wooden shorter spear into beast's heart.   Beast falls back with boys still stabbing/exhausted.    All run to their aid.    I: "A gorilla crawled inside the hollowed carcass of a polar bear!"   M: Gorilla?   I: a beast from hottest Africa. They are clever, but this??   DM: You never know what you can do until Winter, the great white hunter, wants you dead.   G: Great and powerful Ingrid, we slaughtered the beast with our bare hands and came out unscathed in thy name."   M: Geir, you are mortally wounded and covered in your own blood.   G: I see no blood, Sire. Only glory streaming out of the hollow shell of my body.   Gisle: Aye, sire. Glory.   DM: A miracle, a tight bandage, and a needle and thread are needed to keep him alive.   I: i carry all of those with me.   I: the beast's lair might serve as shelter for the night.  Someone bring the beast's carcass. It will feed us for our journey home in the morning.  It raises so many questions. Why is it here? Why is it so intelligent?  If it is that intelligent, why does it only eat humans?   DM: Check its treasures, maybe it only eats men.
