Lauren II
As the younger brother of Geoffry IV, Luaren had a large shadow to grow out of. His older brother was given the Geoffry name, and was expected to fill his fathers place after his passing. However, despite all this, Lauren and Geoffry rarely fought; though this does not mean their early relationship was healthy and good. Laruen spent long months away from the castle on hunting trips into the Dim Forest. It was at the age of 15, during one of these hunting trips, that Laruen single handedly slew a father troll of a brood with some report at the local adventurers guild. It was this success in battle that allowed him to grow as his own person, and out of his brothers shadow.
During the events of the Green Scourge, Lauren and Geoffry had a major falling out on the defense of the kingdom and its lands. Geoffry wanted to holl up in his forts, and wait for the Scourge to come to him, while his brother Lauren, wanted to mobilize the horse riders, and send them to gather allies from the Wolf and Tiger Nomad's just a short ways south. Because of the bickering, the two would split the kingdoms forces, ultimately dooming it to suffer massive losses of land and life when the Scourge rolled through. After this, the two would split the kingdom into the western Thyren Kingdom ruled by Laruen II, and the eastern Gran Dutchy of Geoff ruled by Geoffry IV.
