The Thirteen Divines
"And lo, did the prophet Alder descend from the sacred spire to step upon the pleateau of the Divine. It was here, before even taking but a single step, that he did speak the names of the Divine into the wind to be forgotten by the world."The Aldrian faith, the most predominant religion in Asylum, tells of the Thirteen Divines, the only true divinity in Asylum, so ancient and true that their names have been forgotten. Their scripture teaches that all other Gods in Asylum are merely reflections of the true Divines, reinterperated through centuries of evolution and cultural shift. The Brands that manifest upon the skin of creatures are said to be the mark of the Divines, singling out an individual as their chosen upon the earth. Worship of the Divines is split between worship of individual Gods and the pantheon as a whole. Each of the Divines has one or more religions dedicated to them and them alone, and there are many other churches and groups that worship multiple Gods or all of the Gods at the same time.
