Pillow of Assured Sleep

Shortly after a run in with a colony of Æther Kits a young Agaun'di i began researching the effects of the Æther Dust emitted by the animals. Typically the dust is used to avoid attack or when the kits are hunting. The dust has a highly sedating effect, putting the victim to sleep for several hours. The student adopted an Æther kit for himself and seen realized that when the kit slept in bed with him, he had a far easier time falling asleep. An idea formed and he began collecting the shed fur from his pet and collecting it inside his pillow. The more he collected, the easier he fell asleep each night. Being somewhat impatient, the Agaun'di thought he might trim the hair from his Kit, however, while he slept very well that night, he also realized why the Kits have been long considered apex predators. The Kit instantly sprayed him in the face and escaped into the wild. After that, he realized the error of forcibly taking from the animal and upon adopting another Kit, he treated it with far more respect, eventually adopting two more. Within a few years, he had invested in a small farm dedicated to raising Æther Kits and safely collecting their shed fur. The fur is then worked into pillows and sold in nearby markets causing a marked reduction in insomnia complaints.

After decades of restless sleep, I find myself sleeping like a pup again. The Pillow of Assured Sleep is life saving for anyone that doesn't have allergies.

While no Kits have ever been harmed at the farm, the same cannot be said of numerous workers who have startled unsuspecting Kits while going about their daily work. After enough fall injuries, the farm now also features on site medical care.
