Items of Forbidden Knowledge

A young Draiotcha walks into a cave deep with the mountains he's lived in. He flys down the rocky terrain, careful not to hit his wings against the stalagmites. The aireal journey comes to an end when he sees a large black and purple crystal among the rocky surface. The stone that held it looked like a giant mass of tendrils absorbing it.
"What's this?" The young fledgling spoke before he stepped closer, "They didn't say anything about this when I was training with the Caileach. I wonder what it does, or even what it is?"
After he reassures himself that the cave and stone surface that greets him is alright, and "totally not haunted" he walks to the crystal and touches it.
In a series of flashes, he sees a massive shape in the looming darkness above their world, a shape that only sat in a throne made of cosmic ethereal energy. He thought he was going crazy before it started to speak to him, started to give him information about more than just the blood magic he controlled. The entity taught him through the crystal what forbidden knowledge truly is.
In a desperate escape from the entity's influence, he let out a massive shriek for help, but the only relief he got was in the form of a collapse, crushing the brittle boned Draiotcha where he stood. The only glimpse he got from the crystal again was it seemed to not be effected by the damage, only rebulding itself from the environment around it and offering itself to be graced with another touch.
In the final words that he left out before death took hold of him was, "Forbidden Knowledge."

Often ending with them being dragged to the entity directly, whether they like it or not. Finding one of these Items of Forbidden Knowledge is not in any of the Species' best interest.
