Can be mined from deep within the earth, prominently in mountain ranges that were created during the war against the old gods.

Life & Expiration

Tescalite starts losing its properties when stored in sunlight, although this process takes many years. The best craftsmen make sure to work within the same mountain from which the ore is mined.

History & Usage

History

No records exist of the ore before the turning of the ages. It is believed that Tescalite is a by-product of the events of the war with the old gods. That it is found within mountain ranges that erupted during the war-times seems to favor this idea.

Discovery

Found in the year 314 of the Age of Calm by the settlers who were to create Hammerdons Mettle. Since the ore created a chance for those who had no magical abilities to fight those who did it very quickly became a valuable resource.

Everyday use

Mostly used in armor, but also commonly seen in protective barriers for houses, or shielding for wagons.

Cultural Significance and Usage

Throughout Hammerdons Mettle the ore is considered a proud part of their culture and the metal it produces is to be carried in some way by each of its citizens.

Refinement

Tescalite is melted in giant urns and then filtered thoroughly, before it is mixed with bronze, to create Voidsteel bars.
