Sand Orc
Sand Orcs are a direct subspecies of Orcs, that have evolved in the desertic regions of the Savage Coast . Physically, they are very resembling to the main species, but have adapted the harsh conditions of the desert. They have slightly webbed toes to run faster on the sand dunes. Their skin is very thick, with almost no body hair, light-brown in color with agreenish tint to it which makes them very tolerant to the scorching rays of the sun. They are smaller, lighter but live generally little longer than their green cousins.
Combat: Sand orcs generally dont wear armor, or wear them generally for status or for intimidation purposes, since their thick hides provides them with a natural armor AC 14 (5e) or AC 6 (2nd ed.). They favor light pole arms due to ease of manipulation and missile weapons in absence of cover of those regions. They are also likely to wear ghillie suits and masks crafted from desert-spider silk for added protection from the elements.
Habitat/Society: Sand Orcs generally live in nomad tribes preferring to raid caravans and towns rather than depending on the resource precarity of fixed settlements. They travel light and own only what they can carry; the rest they can loot during raids. They are generally patriarchal society, but above all a kraterocracy, where the strongest rules.
Ecology: They are naturally more enduring and resistent to poisons and can feed on scorpions, centipedes, and other poisonous desert creatures when bigger game is unavailable. They are strict carnivores and will eat pretty much anything that has meat on bones. They especially like hexamembral creature like Centaurs, Lamias and Wemics. However due to ancestral influence they treat fey blooded creatures, and especially Elves, as delicacies.
Visually they appear to have very thick members and almost seem fat and seem to have more moles that other humanoïd species. This is due to special glands that retain water evenly across their bodies, contrary to camels who have water concentration in their humps.
