Crimsarium
This is a naturally occuring mineral milky-translucent found in Red Ore veins used to create jewlry and other decorative or mystical objects. It is also possible to transform Red Ore into Crimsarium using an alchemical process but it destroys the metallic components of the raw material making it impossible to extract Amarathite at the same time.
Crimsarium is very beatiful once refined and is sought after to create jewelery. In its natural state, the material has strates (lines) and is easily tranfomed into linear objects such as lenses, window panes and see-through thin jewls. It can also be polished and transformed into rounded and more 'standard' jewls. Due to its rarity and beauty it has a really high value on the market and surpasses the value of diamonds by 1.5 times. It might also be a factor in the interminable conflict along the line of the province of Volmare.
It is sometimes refeered to as "Wine Pearls" especially when transformed into earrings or pendants.
Each natural, alchemical and refined versions radiates magic (Abjuration and Conjuration Schools of magic) and emit a very faint glow that can be seen only in the dark of night. Gems and derived objects crafted with crimsarium are not magical in themselves but are very receptive to be imbued with magic. This explains the important quantity of magic items with crimsarium in them on the main land.
Sages from the mainland kingdoms are always on the lookout to acquire this rare material to further their experiments. So far the most successful experiments consists of summoning creatures from the lower-planes of existence and also great catalysts to ease teleporting people or objects.
