Amarathite

Semi-magic alloy of metal used to create weapons and other useful items. It is the result of heating at a relatively low temperature (closer to glass than steel) and alchemically transforming Red Ore into its metallic component. This process incorporates any Crimsarium risidue directly into the metal making it speckled with milky dark-red dots. Altought magnetims is known only by a few Sages, this metal is slightly magnetic. This metal is not and does not radiate magic but, it is very receptive to magic and very often enchanted.

Amarathite weapons are very sought after as they are very hard, and retain their sharpness way longer than regular steel. Such weapons do not corrode over time. They are very rare and not many people use them as they are likely to get robbed. It is more common as a mark of power and status than used as infantry weapons.
