Origin and Brief History
Snowfinch Rest, a small town nestled at the foot of the Crystal Bridge, originated as a humble outpost along the critical trade route between Halinor and Carinthia. Its strategic location made it a natural choice for a waystation, as traders and travelers heading north or south needed a place to rest and resupply before braving the Crystal Bridge's frigid expanse. Over time, this simple outpost grew into a thriving town, benefiting from the trade and travelers' steady flow.
Appearance
Snowfinch Rest appears as a picturesque winter town, its buildings made of sturdy wood and stone, their facades painted with fading colors to offset the pervasive whiteness of the snow. Sloping roofs help to prevent the accumulation of snow, and a series of narrow alleys wind between the buildings. The streets are lined with lanterns that cast a warm, inviting glow throughout the town, especially during the long and dark winter nights.
