The Obsidian Knights
The Obsidian knights were the ruling faction before the Legion took over, they are religious and believe in a god in the shape of a massive horned creature.
They are morally good and fight for what they consider just.
They use spears made from the magical crystals found in the core of the crystal valley, the spears can fire bolts of energy and double as powerful melee weapons.
Their armor is made from dense metal alloys with obsidian plating on the exterior.
The armor they use is enchanted, it gives them enhanced strength as well as not restricting their movement like the armor would usually do.
They fought a war against the Legion and lost, the remainder of their forces are all in hiding.
It is said that one obsidian knight can take on ten armed Legion soldiers at once and win, though they were outnumbered one hundred to one in the war which led to their undoing.

The great one created the crystal valley from a star that it knocked out of the sky with it's great strength.

One must follow a strict moral code, if they break the code, they will be banished.

The Obsidian Archbishop leads their religion

their armor's magical abilities are said to be bestowed upon them by the great one.
