Boom Beetle

Large beetle species that live symbiotically with mushrooms growing on their heads.

Boom beetles are herbivores that have a unique defense mechanism where they charge at their foes in an attempt to hit them with the mushroom growing on their head, at which the mushroom will detonate, usually causing lots of damage to the enemy and spreading the mushroom's spores, aiding it in reproduction.

Often used as a steed for The Rust Bugs.
