The Festival of The Fallen

The Festival of The Fallen is the summer festival within the Free Lands of Muria and happens during the month of Runas. It is a solemn festival of remembrance for those you have personally lost and for those lost in general and to the world. While it has become this over the years, originally this festival was first celebrated as a means of giving remembrance to those lost during the Breaking. It still is used to remember those who fell during that cataclysm, especially the Lost Gods. Praise and offerings are often given up for the god K'arest and the goddesses A'naris, M'urcen and M'urdar. Though the god N'avrio was also lost during the Breaking, as he is largely held responsible for it, he is not remembered, and no offerings given to him during this time. In many of the larger cities this is a public festival, though many people do hold their own small private affair instead.
