Southern Sands

The Southern Sands is a massive desert lying between the lands of the Westerlands and those of Olifia, serving as what many see as the boundary between the two continents. Much of it remains unsettled by sedentary civilization, storms of wild and dangerous magical energy along with hostile and deadly wildlife making travel through it all but impossible to foreigners. Only some parts of the coastline are settled, primarily the trading port of Centilia ruled by the Makarin Charter Company. The one people who can safely navigate the Sands are the Zori, whose physiology renders them resistant to the deadly magic.
