Faith Magic
Faith magic is powered through belief, an actualization of so-called ‘magical thinking.’ To become a faith mage, who are referred to as priests and clerics, you must have a strong sense of faith in a system of beliefs, almost always expressed through religion. Therefore while no supposed 'higher power' grants magical power to their followers, a faith magic user cannot wield magic without fervent belief in an object of devotion, and few instances of Faith Magic outside religion have been observed, though there have been instances. While less vulnerable to mishap than arcane magic, faith magic can only be used if the caster retains their zealous belief in their object of devotion. Faith magic is more spontaneous than arcane magic, and thus does not require the mastery of Mage Tongue, but a Faith Mage that has their conviction weakened has their magic weakened, and losing faith completely renders the Faith Mage powerless.
