Dragon
Dragons are large reptilian-like creatures, with long sleek wings coming off their forelimbs and rearlimbs. They can be divided into two categories. Lesser Dragons, commonly known as 'drakes,' are the classification that most are familiar with. Drakes possess an intellect similar to a particularly intelligent animal, but they do not have a grasp of any language other than their own, and do not use tools or wield any magics. A Drake nest can provide a plenty of trouble for a local region, as their large size and metabolism requires hunting large quantities of prey. Some espescially creative societies have been known to 'tame' Drakes by breeding a degree of domesticity into them. This doesn't relieve them of their vicious nature, which their masters often put to use against enemies.
Greater Dragons, or what scholars simply call 'dragons,' are creatures of legend and myth. It is said that there are only two of them in this world. Vozhd, the ruler of Volya and Draug, the creator of the White Death. They are gigantic, immortal masters of magic and battle, and none who have stood against them lived to tell any tales. Perhaps fortunate for the rest of the world, the two dragons seemed locked in an endless war with one another.
