Brutus
Brutus (a.k.a. Stormrider)
Born the son of a humble fisherman in a small coastal village, Brutus grew up with the salty air in his lungs and the creak of wooden boats in his ears. But while most of the village's youth learned to mend nets and haul in the day’s catch, Brutus found himself staring out at the horizon, wondering what lay beyond the endless expanse of water. He wasn’t content to spend his life in the same quiet, predictable routine. The sea called to him—not as a means of survival, but as a place to chase the rush of the unknown.
At sixteen, he left his village with little more than a satchel and a burning desire for adventure. He worked as a deckhand on a series of ships, starting on smaller vessels that made short coastal runs before gradually earning his place on ships bound for far-flung lands. Along the way, he earned a reputation for being fearless, quick-witted, and always ready for a challenge. Whether it was navigating through treacherous waters, braving monstrous storms, or engaging in heated swordfights with rival sailors, Brutus thrived in the chaos of the sea. His nickname, "Stormrider," came from his ability to read the weather like a born sailor. He could predict a coming squall or read the wind’s whispers better than most seasoned captains, earning him a place of respect among the crews.
