Human

Culture

Humans are the most populous sapient species in the world. They also vary wildly in cultural specifics, though a few things do tend to be true across most groups.   Humans make little attempt to live in harmony with their environment. Instead, humans alter their environment to suit their needs. This practice often clears large amounts of forest to make space for sprawling cities and large fields. Sometimes this proves to be short-sighted and floods or erosion destroy not only what the humans have built, but also what was left of the natural order of before. Other times, humans are capable of wondrous creations that last for generations.

Physiology

Humans are mammals. Their bodies are covered in fine, sparse hair. Their heads, underarms, and groins have thicker, longer hair with the hair on their heads able to grow to several feet in length. Human males also grow hair around their mouth and chin, which can also grow to over a foot if properly cared for.   Humans average about 5' 10" in height and run the gamut from very thin to incredibly fat based on diet and exercise.   Humans often live to be 80 years old, with some reaching over 100.   Human skin is usually somewhat yellow varying from cream to dark brown. Their hair is also usually in the same spectrum with wider variations into more pale yellows and darker black. Interestingly, some humans even have hair with a more copper or even orange color. Investigations into non-human ancestry in these individuals has yet to turn up any findings.
