The high reaches of the Jade Scale Peaks are known for the dense plant life and beautiful jade veins that run plentiful through the mountain range. Formed from vertical pillar-like rock formations the mountain range looms high over the Nephite Empire

In the fall the leaves and vegetation take on a golden color painting the peaks in beautiful colors a phenomenon called the golden dragon peaks nicknamed after the other name for the Jade Scale Peaks and paying respect towards the golden dragon ancestor that helped build the Nephite Empire.

Natural Resources

What gave the Jade Scale Peaks its' name is the bountiful jade veins that run throughout the mountain range glittering like scales on the back of a massive dragon. Various mines to the north of the capital city mine the jade found in the peaks which is then used by various craftsmen across the empire to carve the beautiful jewels into expensive sculptures and art.

History

Soon after the founding of the Nephite Empire, the powerful and mysterious dragon that had sparked the growth of a nation retreated to the Peaks where it is rumored to remain to the current day. Once the empire became a powerful force on the Dawmorn Continent the then Emperor declared the Peaks as a sacred place and only with permission from the royal palace could someone interact or take from the green mountains.
