Umoya Sage
You watch the living children run and play. They have so much energy and so much to learn about life...and… You turn to your left and the air shimmers slightly as though you were trying to focus a specific part of reality to through tears or the haze of a heated day. You inhale and let your nerves go cold as you thin the veil of reality around you so that you can see the child next to you more clearly. He is young, staring at the living children, his parents mourned his death so long… The mother passed first, the father was killed on a hunt. Their grief bound their child’s soul to the land. He looks at you, impassively. You look back. You reach out your hand and the child hesitates before taking it. He’s cold but you recognize the magic rule binding him. You crush a poppet of herbs in your pouch and smile at the boy...before long...he is gone and all you hear is the laughter of living children again.

Thanaturgy
Sages can both infuse bodies with spirit energy and displace spirit energy. When casting thanaturgical magic, the sage must pass their conviction check, or risk becoming possessed.
