Shaman
You stand in the middle of the forest and breathe deeply. You can smell nature around you and in that smell is the smell of power. The earth beneath your feet grumbles as it moves slowly and in that sound is a million years of stories. The wind whips your hair and tickles your fur as it shares the news of an upcoming storm. The babbling brook is clean and pure and you know the mountains are melting their rich ice caps. And fire, ah yes, there it is, miles away crackling in the thunderhead clouds as lightning. A creature stalks out into the clearing and eyes you hungrily. You eye it back, fearless. It lunges forward and with barely a movement of your ringed fingers, vines erupt from the ground and wrap around the creatures legs dragging it to the ground. You can feel the vines and the hungry monster warring deep within your soul. The unquiet of the forest around you make your hair stand on end. You sigh and with a barely audible whisper you inform the beast of a meal 300 yards east that it really should chase. The vines unravel and the slathering beast takes off past you, unaware of what you’ve done. You breathe deeply and return to peace.
