Beast Eater

You've chased the beast for 3 whole days; trading blows the whole while. You track it to its lair where it tries to lay and find relief. It's the final fight and you don't have much space to maneuver. It lunges, you block, it bends around and catches you on the shoulder. Screaming with pain and fury, you swing your weapon and with a sickening wet sound, you hit it fatally. With a pained groan, it collapses. It's a bittersweet moment. You have prevailed but the creature was a worthy opponent. You feel a connection to it, something primal, something deep. You carve out a vital organ from the beast, still warm. You bite into it. Blood and flesh fills your mouth and something else, something warm - it nearly edges towards burns. You struggle to keep it down and when you do a burst of primal magic fills your head with stars and a realization.

You are just as much beast as homon.

Role

Beasteaters can be highly aggressive -dealing massive damage or incredibly defensive - armoring themselves with beast hides and bone. Either way, they can be very versatile in serving what the team needs.

How Beast Eaters Manifest Shakti

Beast eaters acquire their skills by transferring them from creatures they have created a connection with. This grants them the potential to use those beast skills and abilities as though they were born with them.

When they need to manifest an ability, they pay the vessel cost to enhance their body.

"I am the beast. I am primal power made manifest." (Composure )

Primal Infusion

Beast eaters have three ways they can infuse themselves with primal beast magic. First, they must succeed first at a Composure check vs the beast's primal DC to begin the infusion. Then they can either create a primal totem, enhance their bodies with available beast matter, or consume beast soul to gain access to an ability.

Create Totem

Beast eaters can make a connection with with a creature and borrow strength of the beast through a totem.

The beast eater must either subdue a beast or gain the beast's compliance in forging the connection. The beast eater will then add 50% of their max health and the Beast's max health in the total manifestation cost of the totem. The tier of totem created determines which abilities the beast eater is able to borrow and for how long.
