Shilen Elves Ethnicity in Arylon | World Anvil

Shilen Elves (Shy Lynn)

The longest living mortals in all of Arylon. They can live up to a thousand year. They age noticeably at every hundred years. the first hundred years is the childhood. the two hundred is teenage years to young adult. Three hundred years is the begin of the twenties for most races. 400 hundred is the thirties. and 500 is the 40's. So, on. the elder stage is about 700 years, and this is notice able when they can no longer do the things they use to do when they were in their 200's.

Hated by many:

To have had one of the largest empires for couple of hundreds of years only to have it shrunk down to almost back to where they started. The Shilen had slaved or second-class citizen a lot of other races. But they still have allies out there, though a lot less then it was three hundred years ago. They know that in places like Vostoria they are extremely hated there. The Keltori people will never forget what they did and will not let them try to regain their power in Queendom.

Not good with the bow anymore:

Unlike the Elysorri elves who are practically born with a bow in their hands. The Shilen elven take more time to learn it. About as long as humans do. It takes the Shilen elves to use the bow properly at their age of adult hood to finally use them with accuracy. This is trained to those elves who have failed the dark trail of Arcanum.

Lost tribal Cycles

The ancient lore of the Highborn elves is their people use to be tied to the elements and they use to learn the flow of magic through life itself. Every 250 years in their life was the major step in the next stage. Each stage was a reflection of the four seasons. The first 250 years was the spring age and was once consider the child stage. The second 250 years was the summer stage. The stage of the Shining adult, who knows who they are and have real stories to tell. The third 250 years was the fall season the plantation stage, laying down roots and family. The last 250 years was the winter stage. If they made it this far was the elder of the tribe and their job was to heal and keep on the celebrations of the people. They have put their "savage ways" behind them.    The goddess of the Highborn is known as Elune Bright-moon, goddess of the red moon. She is what gave the elves such long lives. Well, the Shilen elves at least. The other elves left the goddess; thus, losing their long life.
