Shaman

The wild magician or the witch that dwells deep in the forest. The shaman gets many names from other cultures and races. Buit no matter what they call themselves or what others call them the shaman will always do the following:  

Councilor between worlds

The spirit plane and the material plane are a constant flux, overlapping and twisting around each other. Spirits of place and other different types of spirits step into material regularly. Mortals have also step into the spirit plane without meaning to. Sometimes never to return. The Shaman main job is to keep the peace between these two worlds. It is not an easy job. Dark spirits come through and the shaman must deal with them. Killing them in the material plane returns the dark spirit back to where it came. Some witches or dark shamans do work with dark spirits as warriors and servants to their lives.  

Earth Magic

 Not to be confused with those who use magic to move the dirt or rocks. This is more like shapeshifting, spirits conjuring, elemental evoking, etc. Wizards can do these things as well but through different means. Arcane is the science of magic and requires formulas and sigils. Earth magic is taught by a Wyrd or another shaman. It is and oral and physical lessons in magic. no books or fancy labs required.

Purpose

Keep the peace between the human/ mortal plane with the spirit plane.

Social Status

in their tribe or coven or groves they are spiritual leaders of their people and not always the main leader of them. In tribial group the Shaman or Wyrd keeps the rites and performs the rites of their people. While the Chief or Jarl or lord of land is the more important one who protects and leads them into battle against their enemies./

Discipline D8:

Spirit Sight- D8 this talent allows to use normal notice to see spirits moving or hiding. Hinder d4 get plot point when using this talent at lower rate.   Summon Spirit- D8 can summon a spirit animal or ancestor as an asset during combat or scene. Hinder d4 summon a d4 spirit instead and gain a plot point.   Earth Magic- D8 add this die to your spells as a bonus effect or third die to your total without spending a plot point. Hinder d4 gain plot point when lowering this talent to d4.   Councilor between worlds- D8 use this talent to communicate on behalf of the mortals. Hinder d4 gain plot point when lowering this talent.
