Runologist

This Discipline primary exists in Aredenn. Ever since the days that Vostoria and Aredenn established the Aredenn clockwork and Vostorian college treaty. Runology is the study of mysticism formula and runic magic. Runology is focused on rune and their properties.   The Properties of the runes can be determined by the creator infusing the elements or the energy they fuse in the symbol. Each symbol is based on the Keltori runic alphabet. The Norsemen of Greyfield's have their own runic alphabet. The alphabet has its own meaning and purpose and when combined with the other rune and fuse into another rune symbol can be dangerous, but the outcome can be worth it.   The rune symbol must be charged in the ritual of making for the rune to have "life." Life of the rune is its purpose and what it designed to do. Famous Runologist who has made their mark in the world. Have designed known runes that many today can recognize. Such as, Silver's teleportation rune. As demonstrated in this bardic picture of Silver the thief. One can see her cat Sterling holding in her mouth the rune. As her two birds Clink and Clank search for trouble.
The rune is the Keltori letter that means travel. It's also the letter E in Vostoria.

Runic Powers:

Instead of casting magic the "magic" comes from the runes. They are treated as Abilities based on the rune itself. Each rune has a resource cost. The rune cost is based on the die level of the rune. The Resources is three dice of the level of the rune. (Player set aside three of that one dice aside from all other dice and uses one of those dice when they have activated the rune in the scene. That dice is then use in the test total or contest total.) some runes have their own affects. those ones can be used as conditional effects. All Runes cannot fail.   Boar Rune: D6 Charge through defenses. or angers in rage adding d6 to fighting.   Blaze Rune D8 Burns as hot a bonfire. 3 increments area of effect. D8 burning damage.   Regeneration Rune D8 Restores stun damage first th
