They feel that mages and other styles of magic are easily corruptible. The emperor Ortho Marius is the greatest emperor that the Albion people have ever had. He has had many successes on the expansions and the fact businesses have grown to enormous sizes. Even many other races from other countries have had success in being a partner with the Empire. those are just the one that have not Simulated into the Empire.
