Fel'in Fae

The Catfolk are one of the more exotic races in the world. They come from the desert. No one knows which desert. No human account writes about the heritage of the Catfolk or the Fel’in Fae as the Elvallìn named them. They just appeared one day. They traveled from the desert in a giant caravan to nowhere. It was one giant caravan and every catfolk is a descendant of the caravan. The caravan disappeared after it traveled from the south all the way up to the north. Some Catfolk stayed and roamed the world with companions or alone. There aren’t many catfolk left in the world, but people are always happy to see one. Meeting a Fel’in means a meeting full of stories of distant lands and weird mythology, a fun party at the bar or an easy night around a campfire with music to lighten up the darkness.   In Fel’in Fae mythology it is said that the caravan was made in service of the Sun and Moon God. They have a relationship and are said to have created the Catfolk. The great Shaman Fro’Mandjahree was warned that the world where they lived would be destroyed and the Catfolk should leave their home. So, they did. They made a caravan and started traveling, they didn’t know where too. They traveled for a long time until one day they arrived in Arthenos in the Almari Desert. It is still unknown how this could be. There are few people who have seen the center of the Almari Desert. Some say the Catfolk have always lived there, others say there’s a rupture to another dimension where the Catfolk passed through.   Because most of the Fel’in Fae are gone, many of the Catfolk feel lonely as if they don’t belong in this world. Most of the Catfolk who are still now in Arthenos are here because their ancestors were criminals or were cast out from the caravan. Shame lies on these Fel’in Fae and there are many who believe that they need to regain their lost family honor in order to rejoin the caravan. For many Catfolk, finding the caravan is their one true purpose in life and the reason they travel so much.
